Saturday distribution
Every Saturday morning we hand out pre-packed grocery boxes on the Calvary Free Lutheran campus — drive-up friendly, no paperwork required.
Boxes of groceries at no cost and with no strings attached, distributed to families in need every Saturday morning.
Desert Manna Food Pantry is an all-volunteer, faith-rooted ministry that has served east Mesa families since 2012. Every week we package and distribute more than 5,000 pounds of food — produce, staples, and proteins — to neighbors who need a hand. There are no income forms, no qualifications, and no questions asked. If you are hungry, we are glad to see you.
Incorporated as a Federal 501(c)(3) public charity in 2012 (EIN 45-4513048), Desert Manna operates out of the Calvary Free Lutheran Church campus at 590 N 96th Street and is a proud member pantry of the Arizona Food Bank Network. Our 990 filings and financial history are publicly available through ProPublica's Nonprofit Explorer.
A simple model, repeated faithfully each week: rescue good food, pack it into family-sized boxes, and put it directly into the hands of our neighbors.
Every Saturday morning we hand out pre-packed grocery boxes on the Calvary Free Lutheran campus — drive-up friendly, no paperwork required.
Through partnerships with the Arizona Food Bank Network and local donors, we move more than five thousand pounds of food into east Mesa kitchens each week.
Sorting, packing, and load-out are all done by volunteers from the community and host congregation. New hands are always welcome — no experience required.
As a 501(c)(3) public charity, every dollar donated helps cover food, fuel, and supplies. Financial transparency is available through our public Form 990.
Whether you need food, want to volunteer, or are interested in donating, we would love to hear from you.
